Tomomi Adachi is a performer, composer, sound poet, installation artist and occasional theater director. As a performer he uses voice, live electronics and self-made electronic musical instruments. He has collaborated with numerous musicians, dancers and film makers including Nicolas Collins, Carl Stone, Otomo Yoshihide, Zbigniew Karkowski, Jennifer Walshe, Alessandro Bosetti, Butch Morris, Jaap Blonk and many others and has presented his works in Europe, the U.S., Australia, Japan and other Asian countries at many kinds of venues including Tate Modern, IRCAM/Centre Pompidou, Walker Art Center, STEIM, Akademie der Künste Berlin, Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Merkin Concert Hall, Experimental Intermedia, Tonic, ZKM – Center for Art and Media, Ontological-Hysteric Theater, Roulette Intermedium, Anthology Film Archives or the National Museum of Art Osaka. His CDs were released among others Tzadik, Naya Records and Omegapoint.
